Letter from the Chief Executive Officer
Dear members, associates and friends of ALABC,
As 2024 draws to a close, I extend my warmest wishes to you all for a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. This year has been a remarkable journey, marked by shared successes, new connections, and exciting opportunities across the Australia-Latin America business corridor.
2024 saw us celebrate ALABC's 35th Anniversary—a milestone underscoring our legacy of fostering meaningful connections and promoting cross-cultural engagement. Highlights included our sell-out Melbourne and Brisbane Gala Dinners, successful inbound delegations at IMARC, my trip to APEC and the unveiling of a comprehensive Legal Guide to Business in Latin America, supporting our members' growth and operations.
We also launched impactful initiatives such as industry-specific webinars, roundtables on education and mining, and our collaboration with Austrade to develop actionable market plans for sectors like education in Mexico. These efforts, along with your active participation, have strengthened ALABC’s role as a vital link between Australia and Latin America.
As we approach 2025, I am filled with optimism for the opportunities ahead. Together, we will continue to champion our shared vision for collaboration and growth.
Thank you for your engagement with and trust in ALABC. May your holiday season be filled with joy, and the New Year bring health, success, and prosperity.
