  • Analyse design and prepare preliminary sketches and detailed instructions, showing size, shape, configuration of internal components and general appearance of Duratray products
  • Prepare working technical data and design for dump bodies and associated parts showing sections, materials finishes, etc.
  • Discuss, analyse and validate manufacturers' and clients' requirements
  • Undertake research and development
  • Modify design, where necessary, to meet manufacturing, cost or client requirements
  • Maintain close contact with production manager, process worker, engineers and project managers
  • Use a computer to produce designs, drawings and documentation
  • Keep record of the designs by truck model and customer
  • Any other reasonable direction issued by the company as may be appropriate

PURPOSE SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Duties and tasks shall include, but not limited to:

  • Review project proposals or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Coordinates activities of Nexus Mine suppliers to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Determine the scope and size of the project and the requirements for each stage or aspect of the project
  • Prepares project reports for management, client, or others
  • Confers with Sales, Engineering team and project sponsor to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
  • Respond to enquiries and resolve problems concerning services within the area of responsibility
  • Oversee the gathering and analysis of information about the project undertaken
  • Advise senior management on matters requiring attention, and implement management decisions
  • Administer the work undertaken by contractors
  • Review and develop administrative systems and procedures
  • Work out the risks associated with a project, such as financial risk, and implement strategies to reduce these risks
  • Work out project or program costs, develop a budget plan and monitor ongoing costs
  • Support marketing department with trade show organisation and campaigns
  • Any other reasonable direction issued by the company as may be appropriate
