The Business Council's first event for 2013, the Distinguished Speaker Series - Market Update Peru, was held in Melbourne last week on Thursday 7th March. Over 60 guests were treated to lunch while they heard from guests of honour and key note speakers, Peru's Ambassador to Australia & NZ, H.E. Luis Felipe Quesada, who discussed the latest developments and opportunities for Australian business in Peru and Dr Mark Elliott, Executive Chairman of Hot Rock Limited, who presented "Development of an emerging geothermal energy industry in Peru". The Ambassador's and Dr Elliott's presentations are now available for download exclusively to ALABC members.

Grant Program 2013-14
The Council on Australia Latin America Relations (COALAR) administers an annual competitive grant program supporting projects across Australia and Latin America. The Council invites funding applications annually from individuals and organisations for projects that demonstrate the potential for the development of long-term links and cooperation between individuals and institutions in Australia and their counterparts in Latin America.
