According to the January 2013 statement from the trade group, known as AMIA (Mexican Association of Automotive Industry), the production, sell and export of light vehicles and trucks produced in Mexico had a remarkable increase during the first month of 2013 reaching 242,855 units an increase of 19.8% over January 2012. Foreign nationals must lodge their visa applications at the Mexican Consular post within 15 business days of the National Immigration Institute’s issuance of their visa pre-approval. The issuance of local resident ID cards continues to be delayed by up to two months. Read more
