Chilean tax - Individuals are now required to report their foreign trusts participation

As per the Chilean Tax Authority's (SII) Resolucion 81 dated 10 September 2013, a disclosure report needs to be submitted with SII by 30 June [of the next year] with details in respect of their participation on trusts established overseas.

Andean Community Nationals Now Eligible for In-Country Work Permits

Bolivian, Ecuadorian and Peruvian nationals can now opt to obtain employer-sponsored work authorization within Colombia rather than at a consulate abroad. Cross-border and seasonal workers from the Andean Community are now exempt from work visa requirements but require a certificate from the Ministry of Labor to begin work.

Applications for Foreign Workers and Their Dependents Can No Longer Be Filed Jointly

Effective immediately, dependent visa applications must be filed after the principal applicant completes the pre-approval and consular visa process and obtains the Resident ID card in Mexico. Dependent applications were previously lodged simultaneously with the foreign worker’s application.
