GroundProbe is a market-leading global company that develops and supplies unique measurement systems and services to mining and infrastructure organisations to manage risk.
Since the launch of the revolutionary Slope Stability Radar (SSR™) in 2003, GroundProbe has been providing high value information to mines around the globe making mining safer and more profitable. GroundProbe holds internationally valid patents in key areas of slope stability monitoring technology and was the first company to introduce slope stability radar to the mining industry.
GroundProbe SSR systems are used by mining companies of all sizes for active monitoring of production-critical slopes and for background monitoring. SSR combines the strengths of both radar and photographic information to provide a full picture of how a slope is moving. The system uses radar to remotely measure the movement of wall surfaces and uses visual images to confirm and display the result. These measurements enable geotechnical engineers and mine personnel to confidently track slope movements and set alarms to improve safety and optimise productivity. SSR systems are reliably operated in the most extreme global conditions and diverse applications of open-pit mining. GroundProbe provides comprehensive support of SSR through a dedicated team of experienced technical specialists based around the world.
The WAM is a must have safety system for any crew working near a slope. This state-of-the-art system helps determine when a work site is safe from potential slope failures or structural collapses and warns personnel of potential failures before they occur. Developed for localised wall monitoring in open pit mines, the WAM is a highly mobile solution that provides mine crews with an understanding of whether the slope they are working under has moved or not. This provides confidence to work crews, helps eliminate uncertainty and is a major step forward in protecting mine crews from rock falls.
GeoSeer™ provides secure local and remote access to geotechnical information emanating from GroundProbe’s Slope Stability Radar and third party devices. GeoSeer™ represents the next step in the evolution of integrated, remote, mobile analysis and decision making for Geotechnical Engineers and corporate staff working in the area of slope risk management.
With Geotechnical Engineers on staff, GroundProbe Mine Services team is uniquely positioned to provide support and advice in the monitoring of slopes. GroundProbe’s global footprint results in instant access to the best advice available on slope monitoring. GroundProbe’s services have grown from providing advanced geotechnical training to encompass a range of short and long-term services that add real value to mining geotechnical teams.
