Swinburne is a leader in the delivery of industry-based, career-focused education. More than 15,000 students study in their workplace and our undergraduate students can also take an optional industry-based learning program as part of their course. Another option is to do an exchange program with one of more than 90 partner institutions around the world. But our industry connections extend beyond the classroom. We collaborate with industry in the commercialisation of major research projects and deliver customised training to more than 170 businesses and organisations. Swinburne provides a genuine international outlook. The need for international and intercultural perspectives means we integrate global dimensions into everything we do, so our graduates have the skills to seek work anywhere in the world. Through the ALABC, we hope to engage more closely with Latin American businesses to collaborate in meeting the needs of industry by providing highly skilled work-ready graduates.
